The Thigh High Surf + Wake Series was launched in 2019 by Jeff Husby and Regal & Nautique of Orlando in partnership with World Wakeboard Champ and RNO Sales Consultant Danny Harf.

The goal of the grassroots series is to identify local novice and established surfers and wakeboarders in the region and to give them a platform to show off their skills and build confidence in competition. Through multiple stops across Central Florida, the series is committed to bringing together, growing and sustaining the Central Florida watersports community.

Over the past few years, the Thigh High Surf + Wake Series has seen tremendous growth in the number of participating athletes and competitive divisions available, and has developed a loyal following of families, industry supporters and sponsors.

In addition, the event itself has been lauded on a national level, having won the BEST RETAILER EVENT of the year among all of Nautique’s dealerships. Nautique is the exclusive boat brand of Thigh High, offering competitors the opportunity to ride behind the latest world class Nautique models.

Featuring a variety of wakesurf and wakeboard divisions for all ages, the series is ideally suited for everyone -- from novice competitors up through local lake legends -- allowing grassroots riders the ability to enter a category tailored to their unique riding abilities. With an encouraging community supporting all competitors, the Thigh High Surf + Wake Series is a nurturing stepping-stone for first time and progressing athletes alike.

Besides the competition itself, each stop offers a fun and relaxed setting for family and friends that combines a mix of fun activities, live entertainment and popular food trucks. From airbrushed face painting and tattoos, to tie-dying tees, yo-yo demonstrations and shopping local lake lifestyle vendors, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained while cheering on your favorite athlete(s).
